I was recently asked what inspires me or what influences would have pushed me towards making a shave cream by encouraging the old school ritual to be brought back again.
I take alot of pride & enjoy making our whipped shaving cream and adding to the Collection of Handsome each season. As the seasons change from Winter to Summer so do the scents. Very similar to a nano or microbrewery we roll out with different scents to compliment whats in fashion or in season.
For me as a BatchMaker, the inspiration goes across genres & platforms, whether it was a past movie character, rockstar, hockey legend, icon, chef or even the camaraderie & swagger from the clean shaven clubhouse of the New York Yankees.
Exposed full Jaw lines, clean mugs and Groomed faces all reflecting the wet shave harvest of fallen whiskers. All these separate influences & icons have motivated me to keep whipping, packing and selling our luxe shave cream.
Magazines, Home Couture, travel & Markets are all the places which help inspire the scents. The best inspiration thou bar none come from our loyal customers themselves whom we meet at expos that share or reveal their opinions for the next scents we should launch.
