Our 6.8oz hammer finish aluminum jar contains whipped Handcrafted artisan shave cream. This jar of the fresh Linens scent is a part of our limited edition and special reserve for Luther Lather Summer.
Back in 1911, Gilbert Toyne, a local Geelong blacksmith, first invented the Rotary Clothes Hoist in Melbourne Australia. Since then, Damp Laundry has been hung out to dry in back yards, high up off Manhattan skyrises and seen blowing in wind through many a countryside.
There is something so distinct and indulging with the smell of fresh laundry that has spent hours blowing in a breeze. Crisp dress shirts, bed linens and beach towels all seeping with aromas of fresh summer.
More compelling is the story that each clothes line tells. From the make-up of the household, professions, alumni or trades that family work, to the style and taste of a particular neighbor. There is something nostalgic of taking the time to clip wooden pins to the wire line to secure your most treasured wardrobe in hopes that summer can offer a breeze and the hanging fabrics can capture this one of a kind fragrance. We have done our best to infuse this summer scent into this special batch. We're certain that Gilbert would strongly approve!
Note: Because we don't use a lot of preservatives to alter this experience, a slight color change may take place over time. This is totally normal and common with our cream and the fragrances we use. The cream is also susceptible to melting in extremely hot temperatures.. If this happens just place it in the fridge for an hour or two to thicken and cure by then it should be back to normal. Store the jar always in a cool dry space. We recommend using our product within 2-3 months of purchase.
Directions: Wet Shaving brush with warm water. Whisk brush directly in Luther jar to make bubbles and foam. Apply creamed shave brush onto face. Shave. After shave, don’t rinse face. Rub remaining residue of shave cream on face into skin
This is the Celebration of Manhood. This is the Luther Lather experience.
